ABOUT US
Working with the Library, each year, CHS presents a free public program and/or exhibit at the library dedicated to bringing the lessons of the Holocaust into the present. It enables us to pursue our commitment to educate the public and to better the human experience.
Titled “A REASON TO REMEMBER: ROTH, GERMANY 1933-1942, is a traveling exhibit by the Institute for Holocaust, Genocide and Memory Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst was co-authored by Deborah Roth-Howe (daughter of Holocaust refugees), her late father Herbert L. Roth, and the late Rabbi Robert Sternberg. The permanent and traveling exhibit is owned by the Institute for Holocaust, Genocide and Memory Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Trained volunteer docents from CHS will lead youth groups through the exhibit. We feel this exhibit meets the resource requirements of the Texas Legislature’s Holocaust Bill.
Our goal in presenting this exhibit to the public is to teach and encourage people to UNDERSTAND! REMEMBER! RESPOND!
